About House of McLeod

House of McLeod is a small creative business based in Maitland, NSW. House of McLeod is all about unique and handmade. There are no reproductions, no prints. Every piece is one-of-a-kind.

One of our driving philosophies is that art should be affordable, it is food for the soul and shouldn't be considered a luxury reserved only for the wealthy or for collectors. Each piece is always priced fairly, taking into account not only supplies, but the unique details of each artwork.

Who is House of McLeod?

“Create with passion, not constraints, make marks without rules”. This is the creative philosophy of Toni, founder of House of McLeod. Toni is a mixed media artist from Maitland, NSW, with a love of botanicals and geometry.
Working predominantly in acrylic on paper and mixed media collage, her favourite tools include a gel plate.

After a 15 year obsession with textiles and contemplating a career change from mining to fashion design, Toni was introduced to watercolour pencils in 2018 at a fashion illustration workshop at the Whitehouse Institute of Design and rediscovered her love of art. Being largely self taught was no deterrent, and she created her brand and small business “House of McLeod” in 2020. Acrylic and mixed media became the preferred medium in 2024, and art became her chosen career.

What's New and What's Next?

House of McLeod is always creating new pieces and looking for opportunities to connect people with art.

One of the drivers behind creativity at House of McLeod is the question, "What's Next?". Whether it's a new artwork, a new exhibition or a new workshop, no project is ever complete without asking what's next
