This piece was created in pinks and browns, acrylic using handmade geometric stencils on a gel plate.

This artwork represents a birds eye view of the first step in disrupting the landscape for mining activities. The removal of overburden, such as top soil and all materials that are not considered of economic value. These materials are often stockpiled to be used for rehabilitation of the landscape after mining has ceased. This artwork represents the beauty that nature maintains amidst the geometric activity of humans.
